Opal manufactures proprietary column style pedestals. These robust models are designed with both aesthetics and security in mind. They can bolt to the floor and or be weighted. The machine cabinets are also rear drilled so they may be bolted to the wall as well. Architecturally engineered to relate quality, they assist your custom graphics, in drawing the consumers to the machine. Opal supplies all the bolts necessary to mount the machine into the self- tapped capture nuts onto the top of the pedestal.
High Security Lock Upgrade An investment cast, heavy duty, stainless steel lock. It includes a key that is one in over three million combinations and an anti-drill plate. It is effective in resisting picking, drilling and punching. It is perfect for that "semi secure" placement.
Printer Port and Key Switch
This option allows external access to reports and several machine functions without opening the machine. Supervisory personnel, retailers and collectors can use it. The key switch is used to print a report, clear a credit to unvended cash or review the last five transactions. The printer port allows exterior access to sales data using a portable serial printer (use of the key switch prevents unauthorized access).
Three Sided Backlit Signage (Utilized on top of machine)
Opal designed, manufactured and introduced (a three sided) Backlit “Top Hat” point of purchase signage (to the industry) in 1994. Many retail locations including airports and hotels do not allow scrolling signage, flashing lights or noise producing equipment on their premises. However, studies have shown that impactful signage from several directions enables the machines to attract more consumers and sell more cards than machines without it. It displays graphics and/or creative on both sides and the front. The artwork is illuminated and may be changed to conform with your national campaign; local market specific promotions; time of year/event type tie-ins; multi product offerings.
Internal Battery Backed Alarm System
Battery Backed with a two-year life battery, this alarm features a 115 Decibel horn with automatic reset. It is triggered by door ajar, vibration (from abuse) or an optional tilt sensor. This alarm can also be configured to tie into the "alarm" functions at your remote monitoring station via a Modem.
International Currency Validation
Over the past 25 years Opal has shipped equipment to over 30 Countries. We work closely with a number of suppliers of OEM equipment that validate bills/banknotes, coins as well as supply peripherals to give change and validate Credit/Debit Cards Internationally. Opal works only with the finest of these Companies.
By allowing our customers to communicate with their network of machines results in tremendous efficiencies in running their route management systems. They no longer go to a machine "without reason”, no longer have machines in need of review not visited on a timely bases. The remote MIS and diagnostic program also conveniently tracks all sales with date and time stamps. This will allow for further analysis on when the machine is the busiest, which product sells the best, gauge special offers, and finally can be inserted into a number of other useful databases. The System can call the Host computer with preset Alarm parameters (and report) or can be contacted from Host to Machine. This increased efficiency will drive more profits directly to the "bottom line".
Custom Paint Options
In addition to a host of standard robust and colorful paint options Opal can offer other non-standard colors, which might be necessary to matching into a specific site or Corporate identity.
Customized Graphics Design and Printing
Over the past 10 years Opal has developed the ability to custom design and or print our Customers' Point of Sale graphics. This service can include design, printing on special substraights, die cutting to size and finally installing it on every machine. This allows us to deliver a completed unit "ready for installation" directly from our factory. These colorful signs offer great assistance in attracting the consumer’s attention, communicating the product offerings and finally closing the sale. We can also print and install designs submitted by our customers. Templates of all graphics areas are available to our customers and their design staff.
Lockable Removable bill stackers/Cash and Coin Boxes
A full array of options are available in order to lock or secure the Cash inserted into the machine. All have varying capacities; the management at Opal can assist in guiding you through the best solution for your application.
Cell in Box Dispenser
Opal's patented secure and jam proof "cell in Box" dispenser can be added to any Opal machine and replace an existing Pedestal. The dispenser holds 11 phones, handset and chargers, all separately packaged ready to use wireless phones. This is perfect to enhance distribution of cell time and the CELL (handset etc) itself. No potential customer should be caught without a wireless solution no matter where they are in the World. Just be in the right location at the right time and watch them sell like crazy! GSM Wireless Modem
This option will allow you to communicate with the machine from your PC by utilizing this GSM Modem (once you have procured locally, a data enabled GSM SIM chip, and create the necessary account with your chosen Carrier. It is a fast communication vehicle that precludes the hassle of getting a hard line to each machine. The Modem support all current GSM spectrums.
Opal Manual PIN Loading System
A Windows based PC program that allows for simple PIN allocation for each machine. This can be accomplished either locally at the machine or remotely via a Landline or Wireless Modem. The program allows you to call each machine and top up the PIN inventory levels to predetermined amounts for each denomination, for each Carrier.
Coin Changer
Allows for the acceptance and validation of predetermined coins. In addition, allows for the storage of specific coins (configurable) to give as change within a transaction.
Coin Hopper
Will store specific coins to hold for change making purposes within transactions. This can be used in conjunction with a coin changer and Coin Acceptor or separately as a stand alone means to supply coins for change.
Coin Acceptor Allows the machine to accept coins as payment. Drops these coins into a “box” for later collection. Does NOT facilitate the ability to make change. This function is for ACCEPTING coins only. Has the ability to return damaged or fraudulent coins.
UPS Units Power Supply
The unit includes a UPS as well as a power conditioner that will assist in protecting the internal electronic components against large fluctuations in AC delivery as well as outages.
Second AD screens
Available in standard 26 and 72 models including a media player that will accept the following media plus USB sticks. Can play stills in a power point on a streaming video. They are attached to the top of the EP machines with a robust but attractive bracelet that can also adjust viewing angels. Revenues from these screens can more then pay for the customized monthly cost before your margins form transaction even start to add to your profits.
Point of Sale Graphics Packages
These can be key to communicating what products you are offering as well as promoting your brand. Over the years we have developed ways to print or both opaque and backlit material in order to make each machine a tasteful “billboard” in order to quickly and easily communicate with your consumer.
